Khamsa Oudasi was born into a family of nomadic traders in a distant desert land. From a young age, he showed a keen interest in the art of bartering and haggling, and quickly became his family’s most valuable asset in their travels.
The Oudasis traveled to Aranthas, drawn to the city’s bustling markets and wealthy clientele. They quickly realized that in order to succeed, they needed to be more than just skilled merchants – and the young Khamsa needed to be cunning, quick-witted, and able to get his hands dirty when necessary. Khamsa began working as a thief and smuggler on the side, honing his skills as a rogue while helping build up his family’s merchant business.

Over the next 20 years the Oudasi business thrived, and Khamsa soon became known as one of the most successful and savvy merchants in the city. He used his wealth and influence to build up a network of informants and allies.
Khamsa never forgot his roots as a nomad, and he still has a love for adventure and exploration. He continues to travel and seek out rare and exotic goods to sell in his Emporium of Curiosities – Aranthaes’ largest source of powerful magical items and artifacts.
His wife, Hajbibeh has been missing for several years having gone on a trade mission overseas but never returned. Khamsa searched for her for many months but found no trace of her, no rumor, no clue.
His eldest daughter, protege and manager of the family’s gold business Khalifeh accompanies Khamsa on all trips.
Recently Khamsa has become involved with Hashakh, a dark elf necromancer and they are said to be in love but nobody in the Oudasi clan approves, his daughter Khalifeh least of all.
