Ossani is a clan chief from the southern lands, visiting Aranthaes as an honoured guest at a wedding intended to strengthen ties between families and help bring long-divided clans closer together.

She carries herself with the confidence of someone accustomed to responsibility, but without the stiffness or ceremony of a courtly noble.

She is a seasoned fighter, though she no longer measures strength simply by who can win a duel. Years of leadership have taught her that patience, judgement and knowing when not to draw a weapon can matter far more than brute force. She remains formidable in battle, but has little interest in proving it for the sake of pride.

Note: Nothing is set in stone, these are only suggested and partial details because Aranthaen characters are simply canvases for DMs to make their own!

Her clothing, markings, jewellery and braided hair reflect the traditions of her homeland and the clan she leads. To outsiders they may appear decorative, but many carry specific meanings tied to family, allegiance, achievement and obligation. Ossani wears them openly and expects others to accept them with the same respect she gives unfamiliar customs in return.

The wedding that has brought her to Aranthaes matters deeply to her. She knows how easily old grievances can survive for generations, and sees marriages, trade, hospitality and shared responsibility as practical ways of building peace between people who might otherwise remain enemies. She is therefore watching the gathering carefully, particularly those who seem eager either to strengthen the new alliance or quietly undermine it.

Ossani is direct, sociable and possessed of a dry sense of humour. She enjoys good food, strong drink and straightforward conversation, and tends to warm quickly to people who are comfortable speaking to her as a person rather than treating her title as something intimidating. Flattery rarely impresses her, but courage, competence and generosity do.

Adventurers who earn her respect may find themselves treated less like hired hands and more like temporary members of her circle.

Ossani takes hospitality seriously, and once someone has shared her table, stood beside her in danger or accepted her protection, she believes certain loyalties should no longer need to be explained.
