GrimGrim is a half-orc assassin whose reputation in Aranthaes’ underworld is matched only by the silence that follows his work. Taken in by Orilia Thorne after his mercenary band was destroyed, he was reshaped into her blade in the dark—an enforcer who removes obstacles with precision and brutality.

Grim is cold and methodical, with little interest in gold or glory. His loyalty lies entirely with Orilia, who he views as both patron and redeemer. He avoids unnecessary words, communicating with nods, gestures, or the faint scrape of his daggers being drawn. Though feared by Orilia’s enemies, he is respected by her inner circle as a man who never fails a contract.

In the city’s alleys, people whisper of “the green shadow” who leaves no sound but the thud of falling bodies.

Actions

Assassinate. Against surprised creatures, Grim has advantage and scores a critical hit on a hit.
Sneak Attack (5d6). Once per turn, Grim deals an extra 5d6 damage if he has advantage or if an ally is within 5 feet of the target.
Poisoned Daggers. Grim often coats his blades in paralytic poison; on a failed DC 15 Con save, the target is poisoned for 1 minute.

Features

Uncanny Dodge. When an attacker Grim can see hits him, he halves the damage.
Evasion. When subjected to an effect that allows a Dex save for half damage, Grim instead takes none on a success, half on a failure.
Relentless Endurance. Once per long rest, if reduced to 0 HP but not killed outright, Grim drops to 1 HP instead.
